Mandira Bedi started her career in and as "Shanti", the first ever daily soap on Indian television produced by UTV, which went on to become a nationwide rage and ran successfully for 4 years. (Re-runs of which are still telecast on Doordarshan and StarPlus.) Soon after, she played the title role in "Aurat", a women oriented daily soap from BR films, which was broadcasted for 2 years on Doordarshan and Sony Entertainment Television.
Mandira is the first woman on Indian television to host a cricket show, "Extraaa Innings" which started with the 2003 ICC World Cup. Subsequently, she hosted 2004 and 2006 Champions Trophy too and the 2007 ICC World Cup with Sony Max.
She has anchored 'Fame Gurukul', a reality singing show for Sony (India's version of Fame Academy); 'Deal or No deal' for Sony (34 episodes); 'MTV Immies', the music awards by MTV Music; and a reality show called 'Jo Jeeta Wahi Superstar' for Star Plus.
Mandira had also been a judge for comedy shows like 'Funjabi Chak De' and 'Laughter Knights' along with Navjot Singh Sidhu on Star One.
Mandira Bedi is the first female winner of the reality show 'Fear Factor India', having participated in its first season.
Mandira has been the face for many brands like: Asmi Diamonds, Baileys Irish Cream, South Africa Tourism, Leher Namkeen, Dabur Vatika, E-bay India, Reliance Telecom, Seemati Sarees, Dettol Extra, Mc Dowells soda, Gaja jewelry.

Mandira was the brand ambassador for the women's cricket team of India before the Womens Cricket Association merged with the BCCI. She was also the brand ambassador and Face of Satya Paul Cricket signature line of Sarees, and for Sony MAX channel between 2004 and 2007.
Mandira has participated in a summer campaign and music video for Nickelodeon (India's fastest growing children's channel)
She has acted in 3 plays: Laughing Wild (95 shows) and currently "Anything But Love" (150 shows) and 'Conditions Apply' (3 shows)
Mandira has anchored "The Car and Bike Awards" 2008 for NDTV Profit, and was the celebrity judge of "Dream Job", a reality Show for ESPN. She had anchored the Green Globe Awards for CNN-IBN in 2009. She was the Grand Marshall of The India Independence Day Parade on August 15th 2009. She has also anchored and presented for the Indian Premier League Season 2 in South Africa. Mandira anchored and presented the IPL season 3 for ITV4; and anchored the Miss India Beauty Pageant in May 2010.
She has hosted the 'Teachers Achievement Awards' in 2008 and was also nominated in the Entertainment category.
